The senior principals of Momentum Capital Partners have a lengthy record of consistent success in private equity investing, and have known each other and worked together since 2002. The partners invest personally in each acquisition or investment the firm makes.

The principals’ extensive investment experience shows that a distinction must be made between good investments and good investments at good prices, i.e. value. We are also big believers in the power of investing in smaller companies. Smaller companies are often undermanaged, a situation the senior principals of Momentum can identify and rectify.

We also believe that a CEO has more power to effect change in a smaller company than his larger-cap peers. Small companies have operating leverage, so that small gains in market share translate to relatively large revenue increases, much of which can be translated to incremental profit. Finally, small companies have more meaningful opportunities to grow by acquisition or organically during the firm’s investment horizon.

The Partners of Momentum Capital have chosen unique investment management terms with considerable care. The keys to this structure are:

• a commitment by the managers to invest a significant amount of their own capital (in cash and on par with the limited partners) in each investment made by the fund

• a belief that success for the managers should come from successful investments and not from successful fundraising

• a willingness to create a completely transparent organization between the firm and our investors
